Biosketch

Tatyana Mollayeva, MD, PhD is an Affiliate Scientist at the KITE Research Institute Toronto Rehab-UHN and an Assistant Professor (Status-only) in the department of Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. She is also the Associate Director of the Acquired Brain Injury Research Lab, University of Toronto. Her PhD program explored sleep in traumatic brain injury and links to disability, and post doctoral research addressed central nervous system trauma as a risk for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

Dr. Mollayeva is highly dedicated to disseminating knowledge and mentoring trainees across a broad range of professional and research-based programs. Since her entry to research in 2010, Dr. Mollayeva has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers, seven book chapters, and a book, many in high-impact journals and publishing houses. Her contributions have been recognised internationally through receipt of numerous prestigious awards, including the 2015 Deborah L. Wilkerson Early Career Award from the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine; 2017 Elio Lugaresi Award for Education from the World Sleep Congress; and 2019 Robert D. Voogt NABIS Founders Award.
