Polatajko-Howell Fund

The Drs. Walter Colston (Pete) Howell & Helene J. Polatajko-Howell Student Conference Presentation Fund is intended to defray travel costs for Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy students at the University of Toronto who are presenting their work at a peer-reviewed national or international conference. This includes the annual Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists’ (CAOT) annual conference.

The amount granted per student is $100.

Application Process

Applications are to be submitted to the Program Manager in the OS&OT office. Please include the following in your submission:

  1. A brief letter (max 150 words) stating your project title, description, project partner name, and the name of your supervisor.
  2. A travel budget, itemizing the individual costs you incurring for your conference travel, including registration fees.
  3. Indicate whether you have received other forms of financial support received to attend the conference, such as support from your supervisor.
  4. Indicate whether you have applied for the SGS Conference Grant.

You and your project partner must each submit a separate application (please do not submit a joint application). If your partner does not intend to apply for the award, you may still apply individually.
