Biosketch

M. Shone Joos, MSc, OT Reg. (Ont.) is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. Shone has been involved in teaching as a guest lecturer and facilitating labs in the Department since 2003. Shone was a member of the fieldwork team from 2017 to 2019. Prior to her employment with the University, Shone worked for over 25 years in the health care system as a clinician, educator, researcher and OT Practice Leader in both a large rehabilitation hospital and community-based settings. Shone also operated her private practice for almost 20 years providing services to infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. She has also completed additional training in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, the CO-OP Approach and Solution-Focused Coaching.
