Dr. Emily S. Ho, PhD, MEd, OT Reg. (Ont.) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto.  She is a clinician investigator in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children and the SickKids Research Institute. She is also an advanced practice clinician on the SickKids Upper Limb Pediatric Team (SKULPT) and provides comprehensive care for children with upper limb conditions.

Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship

Dr. Ho is known internationally as a leader in paediatric upper limb rehabilitation and outcomes research. Her research focuses on understanding and evaluating upper limb function and occupational participation in children with brachial plexus birth injuries and congenital hand differences. Dr. Ho strives to place the voice of youth with upper limb differences at the centre of her work, partnering with them on initiatives that foster physical and mental well-being. As an educator, Dr. Ho's scholarship focuses on the use of technological innovation and student-centred learning to effectively teach gross and applied anatomy to student occupational therapists.
