Dr. Tatyana Mollayeva, PhD, MD, is a scientist at the KITE Research Institute, University Health Network, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. She holds cross appointments at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and the Occupational Science & Therapy program of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Mollayeva obtained her Medical Doctor degree from Sechenov University (former USSR) and completed clinical residency in Epidemiology at Turkmen State Medical University. In 2015, she completed PhD at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and the Collaborative Program in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto, focusing on sleep following traumatic brain injury.

Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship

Dr. Mollayeva’s research focuses on prevention and management of neurological diseases and injuries. Dr. Mollayeva’s work on the role of sex, gender and intersecting social vulnerabilities in shaping outcomes, as well as the modifiable role of sleep disorders supports the implementation of evidence-based and context- and person-specific preventive initiatives and care.
