Pat McKee
Professor Pat McKee retired from the University of Toronto in 2014, though she continues to teach in the MScOT program. She is currently president and co-founder of Anatomy Softwear International, which provides hand anatomy education in six languages, used by clinicians, students and faculty all over the world.
Her honours include: Lifetime Achievement Award from International Federation of Societies of Hand Therapists (2019); Keynote speaker at the European Federation of Societies of Hand Therapy meetings (2015 & 2023), and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists’ Life Membership Award (2014). She also wrote and recorded "Look Beyond," designated as Canada's official song for International Year of Disabled Persons (1981).
Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship
Professor McKee's Research and educational scholarship have centred around ergonomics, injured workers and orthotics. She authored the textbook, Orthotics in Rehabilitation: Splinting the Hand and Body. In addition to the educational benefits of the Anatomy Glove Learning System, other current educational endeavours centre around the importance of native plants and how to raise Monarch Butterflies.
