Alison Novak

Professor Alison Novak is a Senior Scientist at the KITE Research Institute-University Health Network.

Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship

Professor Novak’s primary research area focuses on understanding mobility in challenging and complex environments and the impact of aging, disability, and environmental factors to reduce the risk of falls, improve barrier-free access, and support aging-in-place strategies. Professor Novak is actively involved with current changes to the National Building Code of Canada and Canadian accessibility standards to build an age-friendly and safe environment.
