OT Month Events!

October is Occupational Therapy Month and our friends and partners in OT are working hard on several promotional initiatives. The Community Relations Committee is leading our Department and students in raising public awareness. We will post various upcoming initiatives to this webpage throughout October.

 

Celebration Event – Posted October 23

Attention Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy faculty members and students! To close our OT month activities, the Community Relations Committee will be hosting a celebration event on October 23rd from 12-1pm in Room 428 of the Rehabilitation Sciences Building. There will be cake, coffee, games, prizes, and more … so come on by and celebrate with us one last time!

 

On behalf of the Community Relations Committee, we would like to thank those who have participated in our OT Month activities thus far. It has been a happy OT month for us all!

 

 

Promoting OT at U of T – Posted October 9

Come one, come all! On October 14th from 11am-2pm, the Community Relations Committee student representatives will be at the McLennan Physical Laboratories building (255 Huron Street) to raise awareness about the profession of occupational therapy at the University of Toronto, St. George campus. Students and by-passers will be given the opportunity to ask about occupational therapy and the MScOT program along with receiving some free give-a-ways!

 

If you are in the area, come on by the “Promoting OT Booth,” show your support, and learn more about occupational therapy from our program’s student experts!

 

31 Day OT Challenge – Posted September 28

Calling all OT students to participate in the #31dayOTchallenge !

 

As October is just around the corner, the Community Relations Committee is hoping to raise public awareness about occupational therapy by participating in the CAOT 31 Day OT Challenge. The instructions are simple:

 

1) Visit the CAOT Twitter page and say “Count me in, #31dayOTchallenge.”

2) Starting October 1, 2015, talk about OT to one person each day

3) Each time you speak to someone new, tweet it to @CAOT_ACE and use the hashtags #31dayOTchallenge AND #UofTOT – best tweets in each class will be awarded a prize!
