Dr. Shauna Kingsnorth manages Holland Bloorview’s Knowledge Mobilization Hub, Evidence to Care, and is a Clinical Study Investigator at the Bloorview Research Institute, and an Assistant Professor (status) in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Kingsnorth has developed over 40 integrated knowledge translation projects across Hospital portfolios, collaborated on more than 40 research and education projects and has over 75 publications, contributing to the advancement of pediatric rehab healthcare practices.

Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship

Dr. Kingsnorth’s research centers on enhancing participation and inclusion for children and youth with disabilities and developmental differences through knowledge translation and evidence-informed practices. Her broad and varied body of work spans key areas of interest such as transitioning to adult services, life skills development, and arts-based interventions. Dr. Kingsnorth’s work also explores clinical practices to inform care, emphasizing integrated knowledge translation to amplify lived experiences within the field of childhood disability. Additionally, her research and evaluative work captures key processes in knowledge mobilization to support emerging and advanced brokers in everyday practice.
