Dr. Janine Farragher is a registered occupational therapist with a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Toronto. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary with the Interdisciplinary Chronic Disease Collaboration research group.

Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship

Dr. Farragher's research is focused on developing self-management interventions to enable occupation in people with complex chronic diseases, with a particular interest in applying an occupational lens to understand chronic kidney disease and dialysis treatment, and in using technology-based solutions to address clients’ needs. To this end, she has led the development and testing of a web-based energy management program (The “PEP” Program) to promote fatigue management for people on chronic hemodialysis.
