Dr. Liza M. Pain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. She graduated from the Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Toronto in 1992, and subsequently completed a PhD through the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute. Dr. Pain's clinical experience includes working in the United States and Canada, and she currently maintains a dual clinical and teaching role at Trillium Health Partners and the University of Toronto, respectively.

Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship

Dr. Pain has extensive clinical experience working with pediatrics, adults and older adults in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and private practice. Dr. Pain's research and clinical focus centres around the optimization of occupational performance and quality of life within the field of neurology and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Specifically, Dr. Pain's practice focuses on neuro-motor, biomechanical, cognitive, perceptual, and sensory impairments influencing psychosocial well-being and participation in functional activities.
