Kevin Reel

Professor Kevin Reel is a Senior Ethicist with the Health Ethics Alliance at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. A registered occupational therapist, he is a status-only Assistant Professor and Graduate Faculty Member in the Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy. He is also the current Secretary of the Canadian Association of Practising Healthcare Ethicists – Association canadienne des éthiciens en soins de santé (CAPHE-ACESS) and a past President of the Canadian Bioethics Society.

Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship

Professor Reel's  research focuses on new and old controversies in healthcare ethics - medical assistance in dying, sexuality and sexual expression, disabilities, professionalization, and allocation of scarce resources, among others.
