Andrea Duncan
Dr. Andrea Duncan holds a BScOT, MBA, and PhD. She is responsible for teaching MScOT students about professional practice and program evaluation, oversees all international clinical education for inbound and outbound occupational therapy students. Dr. Duncan serves as Co-Director, Education at the International Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation (ICDR) with the rehabilitation sector. Dr. Duncan has extensive experience in both public and private healthcare and social services settings and is the Principal Consultant for Unicycle Consulting.
Areas of Research / Educational Scholarship
As a teaching stream professor, Dr. Duncan is focused on educational scholarship related to using technology, such a virtual reality and flipped classrooms, to augment pedagogical approaches and immersive international student experiences to construct professional identities. Dr. Duncan is also invested in research on health systems, global health, community mental health service delivery, and using education as an intervention for vulnerable populations.
