Lorraine Subban | Receptionist/Administrative Support


Provide front-line reception services for the department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, faculty support and office support for the administrative staff
  • Assist faculty with general correspondences
  • Coordinate space planning, room booking for classrooms, meetings and events
  • Facilitate requests for minor building repairs and issues
  • Handling all aspects of the department’s incoming and outgoing mail, including courier and student mail
  • Assists administrative staff with hospitality services and tracking registrations for the department’s special events
  • Maintaining all bookings and disbursements of AV equipment for faculty and students
  • Maintaining and replenishing office supplies
  • Student assignments: pick-up
  • GO Train student discount forms and Vulnerable Sector Screening forms


Molly Schlosser | Business Manager


Handles business, financial, personnel, computer and audio-visual issues.
  • Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant setup
  • Timesheets, payroll for Work Study students and Research Assistants
  • Managing all aspects of the Department’s daily operations
  • Coordinating major facility management issues (e.g. Building Users Committee)
  • Managing the Department’s budget, including forecasts and capital planning


Alim Lalani | Program Manager


Coordinating admission application processes, awards selection, and recruitment for the Department.
  • Admission application inquiries and policy development with the Graduate Coordinator
  • In-course awards coordination (bursaries & scholarships), including continuous development of bursary guidelines
  • Maintains academic records and course codes in ACORN-ROSI (online Student Web Service), along with permanent student files
  • Verifies authenticity of transcripts and other application elements
  • Coordination of recruitment events and information sessions
  • Counselling and advice about university and program policies and regulations; financial concerns, personal issues, disability/illness accommodation (special considerations forms) if Graduate Coordinator unavailable
  • Managing high risk student activities (e.g. “O-Week”) by advising student groups on conflicts of interest, liability and Code of Conduct matters
  • Departmental liaison with Enrolment Services, the School of Graduate Studies, and the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC-ORPAS)
  • Research and policy development as directed by the Department Chair such as Emergency Response and Strategic Communications

Nella Campisi | Administrative Assistant – Student Affairs


Provides administrative assistance for fieldwork programs and the Director of Clinical Education.
  • Fieldwork and related documents (e.g. health forms, CPR certification)
  • Credentialing services and documentation for graduated students
  • Curriculum schedule updates and posting
  • Registration and information for Departmental events (e.g. Research Day)


Sonia Hopwood | Administrative Assistant – Departmental Affairs


Provides administrative assistance to faculty in their research, students and the Business Manager.
  • Departmental finances under the direction of the Business Manager
  • Payroll support services for casuals, work-study and teaching assistants
  • Processing expenses and invoices for the Department


Sandra Sokoloff | Executive and Communications Assistant


Provides administrative support for the Chair of the Department and communications for the Department.

  • Faculty promotions, tenure, study leaves, interim reviews, PTR/merit assessment, tenure searches, external reviews and accreditation
